ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Jewelry brings a sparkle to your outfit, whether it is casual or elegant. It helps you shine and reflects your personal style. While I love to make ladies sparkle on the outside, I believe that what's inside is most important in order for a woman to truly shine. God gives each woman a gift of that something special and unique to only her; something she can give back to others. Find your inner sparkle and let it shine for all to see! I am drawn to the beautiful and the unique. My travels also fill me with inspiration, and I especially enjoy the French/European designs and aesthetic. I use sterling silver, 14kt gold-fill and vermeil, Italian Murano glass, Swarovski crystals, gemstones with vivid color, unusual pearls, fossils, rare woods or botanical inspirations. My designs include asymmetry, irregular use of chain, front closures and gem clusters. My business practices incorporate recycling and repurposing of paper products and jewelry components whenever possible so as to limit waste, carefully use resources and make responsible purchases of safe products to help our earth stay clean and green. My shows always have much more product available than I am able to post on my site. BIO Sarah Jane Cross has been creating for as long as she can remember, experimenting in various forms of arts/crafts throughout the years. She studied classical piano for 13 years, which infused a love of the arts as well as great precision and discipline for her craft. Her work interests led her to pursue a degree in Business Administration. Working in sales and finance for much of her career further enhanced her attention to detail and ability to run a successful business. After becoming a full-time mother she discovered the art of jewelry making, and Sarah Jane Design was born in 2005. The mix of creative crafting, sales, and networking with other artists is a perfect fit. Her passion for health, fitness and running sparked an interest in adding a sports jewelry line primarily for runners and tri-athletes. Popularity has grown, and it is now distributed throughout California in stores and race expos. She has lived both in New Zealand and Canada, but now resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two daughters.
